Important COVID-19 Update

We hope that everyone had a safe and joyful Christmas holiday. Over the holidays, we’ve seen a big spike in the Covid-19 case numbers as the new Omicron variant proved to be highly transmittable. The good news is that the number of people requiring hospitalization remains low. However, we want to do our part to keep our patients and staff safe, and to avoid further burdening our health care system.
We have implemented protocols above and beyond the requirements that are mandated by the Provincial Health Office and the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. You should receive e-mail updates about them. With these protocols in place, we expect there will be an extremely low risk of transmitting and contracting COVID-19 or any infectious diseases at our dental clinic. Please take some time to read through the protocols carefully, we need your help with it! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you again for your patience and support during this challenging time. Thanks to your cooperation, we have not had any case of transmission of Covid-19 in our offices since we reopened in May 2020. Let’s keep it that way! We look forward to meeting you in person soon!

Important COVID-19 Update

Hi Everyone,
Summer is here and we hope everybody is enjoying the sunshine and getting their vitamin D. We are happy to report that on July 1, 2021, the province moved into Step 3 of BC’s Restart Plan, with a number of restrictions being lifted. Following the latest guideline from BCDA, we are also changing our protocol in our office. Here are the changes that you can expect when you come into our office next time:
- As of July 1, 2021, masks are no longer required for patients and non-clinical staff. However, masks are recommended for those 12 years and older who have not been fully vaccinated.
- Temperature check is no longer required.
- We will still ask you to complete the screening form before coming into the office, but it is no longer mandatory.
- What we will continue to do is the following:
- Be diligent with our sterilization and hygiene practice to keep the office clean.
- Limit the number of people in the waiting area whenever we can.
- Welcome you with a big smile whenever you come in :)

Dearest friends,
We hope you are all keeping well during this time of physical distancing. We would like to take this chance to provide you with updates on what we at PacificWest Dental Group and the dental professional community had been doing to help curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
On April 27, 2020, the BC Dental Association released an update for all dentists practicing in BC. In compliance to the guideline released by BCDA, and to support the health and well-being of our patients and team, we have decided to keep our offices closed until further notice.
Please check our emergency care page for common orthodontic problems and solutions for them. However, if there is persistent pain or discomfort, or there is something else that concerns you, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our phone line will still be answered and all online communications will remain open.
Furthermore, we are excited to announce that we now offer virtual appointments! This allows us to see your teeth and meet with you virtually to answer your questions. Click here to book for a virtual appointment with Dr. Wang or Dr. Lee!

I wish you all healthy and stay strong in this time of crisis.
As your orthodontist and a member of our community, we care for each and every one in our neighborhood and would like to continue to provide care when you need. If fact, our goal is to achieve the highest level of patient health and satisfaction, and contribute positively to our community.
We are doing our part in curbing the spread of COVID19 in our community by obeying health ministry and our dental regulatory college’s directive of maintaining proper social distancing and offering essential and emergency services only.
We will still be available at both locations on a limited basis for emergency appointments. We will be there for you when you need us. We will be answering our phones. In addition, we will soon have the capability to conduct virtual appointments when appropriate. We will be available for you need both online and in physical location.
For patients with upcoming appointments, please know our team will be reaching out to each of you to get you rescheduled in a timely manner.

Hello! I’m Dr. Kevin Lee, a certified orthodontic specialist at PacificWest Dental Group, proudly serving the vibrant communities of Vancouver and Surrey. My journey into orthodontics began back in high school. As a teenager wearing braces, I became fascinated by the intricate blend of art, engineering, and biology that defines this field. This early experience ignited a passion that has guided me throughout my career.
I pursued my academic journey at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2006, followed by a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2011. After a year-long residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, I returned to UBC to complete a combined Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology and a Diploma in Orthodontics in 2015. That same year, I achieved certification from both the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and the American Board of Orthodontics.
With over a decade of clinical experience, I remain deeply committed to staying at the forefront of orthodontic advancements. At PacificWest Dental Group, we prioritize personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, ensuring comfort and care every step of the way.
